Play Through Capital Campaign.
Opening doors through golf.
Golf teaches healthy habits and the skills to navigate challenges, allowing anyone to play through life. The Play Through Capital Campaign is a partnership between PGA REACH Gateway and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) to give kids access to golf and other valuable learning opportunities. And you might be surprised where they take it.
A Key Piece to Revitalizing North St. Louis.
The Play Through Capital Campaign will build a Youth & Community Center across the street from the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club on the site of the Carter Carburetor factory.
After a seven-year remediation process through the U.S. EPA, the 14-acre site is primed and ready to renew the optimism and prosperity in a neighborhood hungry for both.
“It’s a game they can play the rest of their lives. It’s a game that is going to give them purpose.”
—Ozzie Smith
Imagining What’s Possible. Delivering More.
An ambitious project like this comes with an ambitious price tag. The Play Through Capital Campaign needs your help raising $13 million to make this a reality. Once completed, the facility will be owned and operated by BGCSTL while local PGA Coaches will provide instruction year-round.
Also part of the project: a Multi-Purpose Field, Batting Cages, Walking & Workout Trail, Frisbee Golf Course, a community garden and indoor spaces dedicated to STEM education. Collectively, the project will bring greater access to the game while complementing existing BGCSTL programs by expanding opportunities for even more people in the community to learn and play.
Meet Our Key Players.
